TV Jones Power'tron -Bridge+Neck position, universal mounting

The Power'Tron was born from the will of TV Jones to create a pickup with the character of a PAF style humbucker while retaining the essence of a Classic / Filter'Tron. Bigger reels, a standard HB size wire, and several windings create a fearsome older brother for the TV Classic (and the TV Classic Plus).

Tone / Features: Mix the vintage PAF tone of the golden age with the rockabilly sound of a Filter'Tron from the late '50s. A well-built sound with clear, naturally dynamic high frequencies. While digging, one discovers a big thick sound in the low end of the spectrum coupled with a shrieking point in top of the sect which sounds surprisingly through a tube amp. This is an excellent choice if you like the general sound of Classic / Filter'Tron but want more performance and brilance than what is usually provided by the low output pickups.

Installation: The universal bracket replaces the CLassic / Filter'trons directly - with or without "ears" or "clips". This mic is supplied with two pieces of compression rubber, two mounting screws (for wood) and the universal mounting clip pack, which includes everything you will need to mount the pickups on your contour or pickguard.

Output / Power: The DC resistor is not entirely an indicator of the actual output, although it may be useful.
Neck: DCR - 5.0k / Inductance - 2.24H
Bridge: DCR - 7.8k / Inductance - 4.75H

Wiring Notes: This sensor comes with a 4-wire lead but is ready for a standard 2-wire connection. The extra red and green wires are soldered together and taped - to split the coils, send them to the ground.

The coil separation works well with the Power'tron because of its naturally higher efficiency. The 4-conductor wire is also convenient for custom switching, ie combined sensors in series or parallel.

Power'tron Plus - Universal Mount Bridge position

When Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top called up and requested an even hotter bridge pickup that could handle his fiery riffs, we knew we had to take it to the next level. The Power’Tron Plus is the hottest Filter’tron pickup we make and perfect for everything from creamy blues, to hard-rock, to metal. It's a bridge position only pickup that pairs extremely well with Power’tron, T-90, and even T-Armond neck pickups!

Tone/Characteristics: Designed with standard PAF magnet wire to resemble a hotter Gibson PAF Humbucker (in the 8.5k DCR range) while retaining the core Filter'Tron characteristics. The lows are tighter and more defined than a traditional Humbucker but it barks and growls generously when digging in. Lastly, it cuts through the mix really well for solos and chunky riffing.

Installation: The Universal Mount is a direct drop-in replacement for standard sized Classic/Filter'trons - with and without "ears" or “clips”. This pickup comes with two pieces of compression rubber, 2 mounting (wood) screws, and the Universal Mount Clip Pack which includes everything you will need to mount the pickups to your ring or pickguard.

Neck: DCR - 8.5k / Inductance - 5.25H
