Beautiful but fragile!

Very nice looking pickguard but maybe not the best choice if you need to drill it, like I had to for my Aria FA71 which has volume and tone pots on the pickguard. The small mounting holes went fine, but when I came to drill the second larger hole for the tone pot it just cracked in two and splintered like glass. Rookie error, I guess, but an expensive one as it’s now in the bin. Finished the job with a conventional plastic 5-ply one and it went fine, but beware, celluloid is not the same!
