This kit will convert StopTailpiece Guitars to use a Bigsby®B3 (or B6) with no modifications.Gold Finish The TOWNER Down Tension Bar manages your sustain controlling your break angle. With the ability to raise or lower the TOWNER Down Tension Bar you can control how much downward tension you want on your strings, therefore, managing the guitar string sustain. TheTOWNER Down Tension Bar is designed to work with the BIGSBY® B3 (for LP & SG) BIGSBY® B6 (recommended for ES guitar models) vibrato tailpieces. Mounted to the stop tailpiece studs in place of the stop tailpiece, the studs provide the ability to raise or lower the TOWNER Down Tension Bar.  Controlling how much downward tension you want on your strings, therefore, managing your guitar strings sustain.This simple function is ideal and becomes a custom setup for every player with a BIGSBY® vibrato tailpiece because every guitar setup is different. From the gauge of the strings the players likes to use to the action of the strings, type and height of the bridge and type of nut. NOTE: CHECK WIDTH of STUD NECK POST: Measure the neck width of your studs, they should be NO wider than 0.265 inches, if they are wider than 0.265 inches you will need to purchase different tailpiece mounting studs. Gibson Memphis reissues and Gibson reissues sometimes have wider neck posts, measure to be sure.

To fit the cuffs on the TOWNER Down Tension Bar, the stop tailpiece studs should be no wider than 0.260" inches at the neck (see "G" in image below).
