Alder has been a preferred wood for luthiery since the 1960s. This body is routed to accommodate a standard single-coil Precision Bass pickup. It is designed for a top-loading bridge. A Precision Bass with a top-loading bridge offers a warmer sound with richer mids. The neck pocket and pickup cavity are adjusted and may require slight adjustment using sandpaper or a wood chisel.
