Desert Sand is a very light, low-saturated reddish-yellow color, similar to sand. It can also be described as a dark beige. General Motors used this shade for its early Cadillacs. Fender began using it in the late 1950s, notably on its Musicmaster and Duo-Sonic models. It was also used on some lap steel guitars of the era.
Shake well for 2 to 5 minutes before application. It is recommended to apply the product in thin coats, in dry weather. Spray in a steady motion at a distance of about 20 cm. It is important to apply a primer and lightly sand with 400-grit sandpaper before spraying, in order to obtain a uniform surface before coloring or finishing. Lightly sand between coats and allow to dry for 12 to 24 hours between each coat. Apply in a well-ventilated area.
