BIGSBY® B6 with TOWNER String Tension Bar and Hinge Plate Adaptor

The BIGSBY® B6 is preferred for ES-335 style guitar models where the bridge is up closer to the pickups than the ES-330 where the bridge is lower on the body. The B6 is longer and suits the longer ES style guitar bodies.

The BIGSBY® B6 will come to you already modified for your convenience.

The TOWNER System provides a screw-less system and innovation of string control with the string tension bar and the hinge plate adaptor provides a flat surface for all strap button and strap lock buttons. The BIGSBY® “EX-SHORT” Hinge Plate and Hinge Pin replace the B6 Hinge Plate. 

*NOTES:

I recommend the 1" inch spring for B6’s, provides a comfortable distance between the guitar and the Bigsby arm.

TOWNER String Tension Bar (NOT FOR USE WITH FLOATING BRIDGES) 

The TOWNER String Tension Bar helps to manage your guitars string tension for low bridge heights and sustain, recommended for guitar models with trapeze tailpieces.

For years, guitarists with trapeze setups have asked me to make a string tension bar to provide string tension because their bridge height and string setup have low action. Providing the necessary tension to keep your strings in place. 

Under the Tune-o-Matic, ABR-1 or Nashville bridge posts use  at least one pair of thumbwheels to firmly hold the string tension bar in place, SEE PHOTOS ABOVE in GALLERY.

The reason for the 2 thumbwheels is to have one pair hold the STB in place and the other two to manage the height of the bridge. 

I've learned that 'most' guitars (Gibson, Epiphone, Gretsch, Guild, etc..) use SAE 6-32 threaded bridge posts, here is a link to SAE threaded thumbwheels SAE Thumbwheels
