This dark cherry shade was used by Gibson for its SG guitars and the red stripe of the famous three-tone sunburst finish (also called Heritage Cherry Sunburst). As this varnish is translucent, the grain and the color/shade/tone of the body wood strongly influence the final result.

Shake well for 2 to 5 minutes before application. It is recommended to apply the product in thin coats, in dry weather. Spray in an even motion, at a distance of about 20 cm. It is important to apply a primer and lightly sand with 400-grit sandpaper before spraying, in order to obtain a smooth surface before coloring or finishing. Lightly sand between coats and let dry 12 to 24 hours between each coat. Apply in a well-ventilated area.
