With the current enthusiasm for vintage sounds, we understood the importance of a string that truly embodies that classic tone, by reproducing the string used during the most iconic decades of rock 'n' roll.
In the 1960s and 1970s, La Bella manufactured "The Bender" strings under its own brand, as well as for other manufacturers and the world's greatest luthiers, making it the most played string on the market. "The Bender" was featured in Guitar World's special 20th anniversary issue, titled "The 20 That Mattered," which honored the musicians and companies that shaped rock 'n' roll.
We delved into our archives to recreate the same manufacturing process used at that time. Pioneers of nickel-plated steel electric guitar strings, we use the same nickel formula as the original "Bender" string. The result? The most authentic vintage electric guitar string on the market.
