S-Style Body HSH, 3-Tone Sunburst, Poly Gloss Finish
The 3-Tone Sunburst is arguably one of the most iconic finishes in S-Style history. With its subtle fade from yellow to red to black, it perfectly highlights the grain of the alder while giving a look that is both vintage and timeless. Protected by a gloss polyurethane finish (Poly Gloss), this body has a deep, luminous appearance and excellent resistance to everyday wear.
Made of alder, it offers a tonal balance known for its clarity, well-defined mids and controlled lows. An ideal base for a versatile guitar, equally suited to blues, rock, funk, hard rock or metal.
The HSH (humbucker / single coil / humbucker) configuration opens up a wide range of tones. The humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions provide power, sustain and thickness, while the middle single coil pickup brings back the crystalline, snappy tones typical of the S-Style. Paired with a 5-way pickup selector switch, this configuration is especially popular with guitarists looking for a guitar that can do it all.
The cavities are precisely machined to ensure excellent compatibility with S-Style standard components.
