The 3-Tone Sunburst is undoubtedly one of the most iconic finishes in the history of the Stratocaster®. With its subtle gradient of yellow, red, and black, it perfectly highlights the grain of the alder, while providing a look that is both vintage and timeless. Protected by a glossy polyurethane varnish (Poly Gloss), this body offers a deep and bright finish as well as excellent resistance to everyday wear.
Made of alder, it benefits from a sound balance recognized for its clarity, well-defined mids, and controlled bass. An ideal base for a versatile guitar, capable of adapting to blues, rock, funk, hard rock, or metal.
The HSH (Humbucker / Single Coil / Humbucker) configuration opens up a wide range of sound possibilities. The humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions provide power, sustain, and thickness, while the central single coil allows for the crystalline and snappy tones characteristic of the Stratocaster®. A slight adjustment of the neck pocket or the neck heel may therefore be necessary to achieve a perfectly fitted assembly. This is a common operation in lutherie and does not constitute a manufacturing defect.
