The Pure Vintage set from Tonerider is the go-to choice for players seeking the warm, chimey sound of late-50s Stratocasters. Smooth, musical, and never harsh, these pickups shine through both sparkling clean tones and lightly overdriven amps.

This is the set that helped shape Tonerider’s identity more than twenty years ago.

Using heavy-gauge AWG42 wire and a scatterwound pattern, the Pure Vintage set captures that elusive “Holy Grail” single-coil character: open, expressive, and full of dynamic response.

Excellent balance and vintage feel

Each pickup features Alnico 5 rod magnets with Tonerider’s Modified Vintage Stagger, ensuring an even string-to-string balance across a wide range of guitars.

Every pickup is fully wax-potted to eliminate unwanted microphonic feedback.
